Video clip of Africando: playing Scandalo live

At this stage Salsa y Sol does not sell music. However at the request of many of you, we have listed some of the more popular songs (please scroll down the page) that we believe can help you enjoy and practice dancing Salsa.

Please copy and paste the song titles/artists in Google or other search engine of your choice, to find them on the Internet. Alternatively, Amazon Uk has now an MP3 store section. Here is a link to it for your convenience (disclaimer: Salsa y Sol have no affiliation to Amazon) www.amazon.co.uk

Listen to Salsa (and other) music free with Spotify

You have the option for a free account on Spotify - which seems to work pretty well at finding and playing a lot of favourite tracks as well as discovering new ones by running a search. You can then create your own playlists to find those tracks readily again. I've found this useful to discover "new" salsa music, which I then went and purchased online elsewhere. You can now also buy and download music via this tool.

The catch? You have to put up with the occasional Ad, although they are few and far between at the present time. This could change over time as it becomes more popular.

Anyway if you'd like to give it a try (Disclaimer: Salsa y Sol is not affiliated to Spotify) here is the link to it:

http://www.spotify.com/en/

Once you've registered your login details and downloaded/installed the player, you'll be presented with this interface:

Sharing compilations online - "8Tracks"

http://www.8tracks.com gives you a way to create your Salsa and other music compilations free and legally. The artists and recording labels are paid every time someone listens to a track. You can also create your own compilations (mixes) and upload your own music if you don't find it on their database.

There are certain rules that allow this to happen, such as limiting the same artist to two tracks per compilation, and you are not able to see the individual songs before starting to play them. They also play in a different order every time, and you can only skip a certain number within an hour.

There is also a link to download tracks you want to buy, but note that this takes you to the US Amazon site and not the UK site.

Here are some compilations we've put up for you - with some of the songs we've listed down below as well as many others. For your convenience we are listing the content of each compilation here, since as we have mentioned you won't see the contents on the 8Track website. These lists are not in the order of playback, as already mentioned. Enjoy!
